Step Collar Pump

A step collar pump uses a collar shaped with a stepped rather than a flat profile. The skirt formed at the base of the collar sits over the shoulder of the bottle, creating a raised, tiered transition. This gives a more defined line between the pump and the bottle and provides an extra surface that helps the cap seat correctly. The spray mechanics work like any other pump: pressure on the actuator opens the valve, and the fragrance leaves the dip tube as a mist.

The stepped collar is often preferred for bottles used with bulkier or wide-shouldered caps, where the tiered form helps centre the cap and supports a cohesive silhouette. The 15 mm neck is the common standard in this group.
